Caught between vanishing wild spaces and man-made threats, African wild dogs face a daily battle for survival. This mixed media piece uses chaotic, snare-like wirework to reflect their entanglement in a world that no longer makes room for them.

Fun Fact: A single African wild dog can eat up to 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of meat in just one day. Their remarkable hunting success makes them feared by farmers, who often resort to fencing or deadly snares — not out of malice, but in defense of their livelihoods. Sadly, this conflict is a major driver behind the species’ decline.
