Description

The Triune begins with structure, with line, with the quiet authority of geometry made sacred. In this contemplative pairing of sculptural forms, Victor distils theology into shape itself, allowing triangles to speak where words often fall short. The work stands as a meditation on balance, power, and stability, not merely as design principles, but as attributes of the Divine.

At first glance, the composition feels architectural, almost liturgical in its clarity. The triangular frameworks intersect and lean into one another, creating a dialogue between weight and suspension. There is tension here, yet no chaos. The lines are deliberate, measured, and assured. Victor’s welding does not attempt to disguise its labour; instead, it honours the joining of parts as a metaphor for unity. Each assembled piece finds its place within the whole, much like the mystery of the Triune God, distinct yet inseparable.

The choice of steel as the foundational material is deeply intentional. Steel carries with it a sense of endurance, of truth that does not bend under pressure. In Victor’s hands, it becomes a symbol of the strength, righteousness, and unwavering nature of God’s kingdom. The triangular form, one of the most ancient sacred geometric figures, anchors the work in theological symbolism. The triangle has long represented the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons existing in perfect relational harmony. Here, that harmony is expressed through balance and counterbalance, through lines that support one another without collapse.

Colour plays a subtle yet profound role. The silver finish introduces a cool luminosity, reflecting light with a refined clarity that suggests purity and redemption. It catches the eye softly, almost reverently, evoking the idea of refinement through fire. Silver in this context becomes more than an aesthetic choice; it is a quiet proclamation of transformation. The inclusion of copper brings warmth into the composition. Its earthy glow carries associations of sacrifice and provision, echoing the suffering of Christ and the salvation extended to humanity. Where silver feels celestial, copper feels incarnational, grounding the work in the lived reality of faith.

Victor’s compositional method directs the gaze upward and inward simultaneously. The triangular angles guide the eye along ascending lines, creating a visual rhythm that feels contemplative rather than hurried. Negative space is treated with as much care as solid form, allowing breath between the structures. That space becomes symbolic in itself, inviting stillness. It is within this openness that meditation can occur.

Emotionally, The Triune offers reassurance. There is stability here, a reminder that divine order undergirds the apparent unpredictability of life. It calls the viewer to prioritise God’s will over transient material concerns, to trust promises that extend beyond immediate circumstances. As a decorative piece, it elevates a living space; as a spiritual object, it becomes a gateway to reflection.

Victor has created more than geometric art; he has forged a visual theology. In a world often fractured by imbalance and noise, this work stands firm, inviting contemplation on purity, redemption, provision, and unity. As you sit with these intersecting forms, you may find yourself asking not only how the pieces balance one another, but how your own life rests within the greater balance of the Divine.
