the View
This is a big Tiger painting created 2023. The reference image was chosen for the beauty of the big striped deadly cat. I also wanted to push my limits, so I went bigger and more challenging. The original is 84,1 x 118,9 cm (A0). This is one of my biggest achievements, I learned so much whilst painting this tiger – color, layering. I named this painting ‘the View’.
Small ‘t’ big ‘V’.
The hint lies in the word ‘View’, what do you think of when you hear the word ‘View’? You think of something beautiful, like a sunset, or the ocean waves. Exactly!
The tiger is such a beautiful animal, the painting is a wonderful representation of this animal. And also the tiger is lying calmly on a rock, most likely from some height. Just resting, watching and ‘viewing’. Why would a predatorial animal be hiding?
I added some progress photos of two months as I was painting the original, hope you enjoy.
