Vendor Biography

My art journey began years ago under the guidance of Olga Hoffmann. After she moved to Mossel Bay, I continued learning under Bert van Wyk. However, life took a different path when I stepped into the corporate world. For 17 years, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry, focused on finance and supply chain — and during that time, I stopped painting completely.
After being retrenched at the end of 2021, I found my way back to art. In 2023, I completed the Creative Visionary Program (CVP) with Nicholas Wilton (USA), which was a turning point for me. The course taught me to paint from the soul — to trust intuition, emotion, and expression — and this completely transformed how I create.
My current process is intuitive: I start with color, texture, and loose marks on the canvas. I step back, observe, and respond to what begins to emerge. I add and remove layers, guided by what I feel and see taking shape. Each painting evolves organically, and I find great joy in this journey of discovery.
