Vendor Biography

I am 54 years old and originally from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. In 1992, I obtained my Diploma in Textile Design from Port Elizabeth Technikon. While my formal training was in textiles, Fine Art has always been my first love, particularly working with oils and watercolours.

I first discovered watercolours during our Botanical Drawing classes in the Textile Department, and I learned to work with oils in my first year of Foundation Studies, where we explored a wide range of art forms, from Graphic Design to Pottery. I excelled in Fine Art, achieving the highest average in my year with 75% in the final exams.

Painting became a cherished hobby, something I pursued in my free time and occasionally created pieces on request for clients. Now, I have decided to share my passion with the public and offer some of my art pieces for sale through Discover Art.
