Catharina Aletta Erasmus, affectionately known as Katie, was born in 1957 in Namibia. Her early years were spent in the town of Mariental, where she completed her matric. Working primarily with oil on canvas, she also explored acrylic mediums. Her artistic style is characterised by contemporary landscapes, but she also delves into portrait studies and still life’s.
