I’m Lize Crous, a mixed-media artist inspired by nature and human emotion, creating abstract and semi-abstract pieces that evoke introspection, calm, wonder, joy and curiosity.

Residing in a town like Hermanus, I am inspired daily by the natural beauty of my surroundings. Taking a moment to stop and appreciate it and to spend my time close to nature, grounds me every day, especially during moments of uncertainty.

 This is the story I want to tell, that despite the storms going on around and inside us. There is always beauty, hope and inspiration. Sometimes we just need a visual reminder to take a breath and move forward. This is what I aspire my art to represent.
