My name is Look2Ice, and I’m a young, local female artist from Soweto. Art, for me, is an unfiltered window into my mind, a way to communicate emotions, stories, and perspectives that words might fail to capture.
The name “Look2Ice” comes from the way I believe people should engage with the world around them. It’s a call to open your eyes—not just to look, but to truly see. To look beyond the surface and understand that there is always more than what meets the eye. That’s how I approach my art; it’s about looking at life from different angles and expressing it in a way that encourages others to see the world differently, too.
I mostly create sophisticated cartoon characters that seem to have massive personalities, even if you’re just looking at a portrait. These characters are more than just drawings; they’re full of life, emotion, and stories. I want to show how much character and depth can be packed into the simplest of forms. My artwork is a mix of animation, illustrations, cartooning, and graphic design. I love pushing the boundaries of these styles to bring my creations to life in unexpected ways.
