Palace of Justice- Original A2 Print
This iconic building was built by John Munro and designed by architect Sytze Wierda. It forms part of Church Square and currently serves as the headquarters for Gauteng’s high court. During the Second Boer War, it served as a hospital for British soldiers during its construction. The first foundation stone of the building was laid by President Paul Kruger in 1897.
